The African Urban Futures Conclave takes place in Accra, Ghana, from 11-13 November 2026. For delegates travelling from outside Accra and Ghana, this page should provide the essential information needed to plan the journey, choose accommodation and move easily between hotels and the Conclave.

International and regional delegates should fly into Kotoka International Airport (ACC), Accra, Ghana. Kotoka International Airport is served by international and regional airlines connecting Accra with major cities across Africa and other global destinations. Airline schedules and routes may change, so delegates should check directly with their preferred airline or travel provider when making arrangements. We recommend arriving in Accra with sufficient time to settle in ahead of the start of the Conclave on 11 November 2026.

VISA & ENTRY INFORMATION

Entry and visa requirements for Ghana vary depending on nationality. International delegates are responsible for confirming the requirements applicable to their nationality and securing the appropriate travel documentation before travelling to Ghana.

We encourage all international delegates to begin their travel preparations as early as possible.

APPLYING FOR A VISA

Ghana's electronic visa (e-Visa) platform allows eligible travellers to apply online before departure. Update this section with the official launch link and instructions when the e-Visa service goes live.

Participants are still advised to confirm entry requirements with the Ghana Immigration Service and to allow sufficient processing time before travel.

Where an online visa application is available, AUFC should provide a direct link to the appropriate official Ghana visa application portal. Delegates should ensure that all information submitted is complete and accurate and allow

sufficient time for processing.
